Yesterday we posted part 1 from this session with this handsome Chow, this is the second part although technically it's the first part 😂.
We actually done this exercise before we began working him around other dogs. It helped build a bond between us which allowed the work around dogs to be a lot less stressful for him.
This is one of the most important commands to teach a dog. We teach it to mean relaxation. Over time it allows you to be able to help the dog relax, it becomes a safe place for the dog, it gives them something to do and it helps with needy dogs. It also teaches them it's ok to be by themselves and can help prevent a lot of other problems from arising such a separation anxiety.
